I'm sure by now alot of you will have played the 1st PES 2013 demo & I decided to share my thoughts & you can all share yours to in the comments section.
I've only played a few games as I quickly get bored of playing matches with the same teams over & over. I played all the games on Superstar with all assistance off. There are some welcome additions to the game, the best of these in my opinion is the new way of executing a standing tackle by douple tapping the X button, this gives you alot more control over tackles rather than just holding X & having no contol over the timing.
The new manual shooting is also great but will take some mastering. Personally I didnt mind the shooting on 2012, but the shots in the demo do seem to have more power in them. As I said it will take time to master, my first shot with Welbeck from the edge of the area in the D went out for a throw about 3 yards in front of where I took the shot.
The pace of the game seems slower to me, which I dont mind as you can build up play & will keep the games tight. It does mean I ahve had a lot of 0-0's but once we have the full game & can play longer matches that should all change.
Another things I'm pleased about is that the player stats are in the same format as 2012 so I wont have to spend weeks creating new stats for all the players. Hopefully there will be a way to import teams from 2012 into 2013 which will mean I can have the new option file ready much quicker.
Thats all from me on the demo for now, what do you guys think of it?
bro, is the demo on ps3 platform? hw do u download it?
ReplyDeleteYeah on PS3, goto the PSN Store & either look in new this week or search 2013
Deleteok thx..but i also came across a patch for the demo version on google. if im not wrong, the patch made 100+ teams available for selection. does the demo version has a specific version or a single version for option file download?
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure the patch is only for the PC demo, but I could be wrong
DeleteI played a few games, but felt the same as Paul, it was a bit boring with so few teams. I changed the camera settings to get a close up on the player ID , and it does seem to work, I noticed the one touch working quiet well. As Paul mentioned, the shot power is greater and the game has a more 'realistic' pace to it, I hope it transfers over to the online play. The manual shooting will surely take some time to master. I have a good feeling about PES 2013.
ReplyDeleteNice point about the player ID, I missed that out as I hadn't really noticed it. Its always been a great thing about PES that the big name players feel & play like they do in real life & this seems like it will expand to include even more players.
